Shrinking Ice Cream Cartons

Has anyone (besides cheap-ass yours truly) noticed that ice cream cartons are getting smaller? It used to be that you’d get a half-gallon carton for a couple bucks. Then they shrunk to 1.75 quarts, presumably for the same price. Now the freakin’ things are down to 1.5 quarts.

Jeez… can someone explain to me, then, HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GET FAT ON 1.5 QUARTS OF ICE CREAM? Thanks, and sorry for yelling.

About Michael

Opening paragraphs are awkward. I don’t know what other self-absorbed blogging people put here, so I’m just going to guess. I haven’t played football since high school and I haven’t played high school since grade school. I believe I’m educated since I have a degree, but my biggest accomplishment in life is having offspring. They’re young and ultra-cute, but you knew that already.

New paragraphs make me look cool; well, coolER. I like old Van Halen (original lineup), The Beatles (virtually all, but not so much their solo stuff), Cyndi Lauper (before she lost direction) and most of the mid-80′s output from Kate Bush, Ultravox, Missing Persons, etc. I love a good film noir, which pretty much limits the films to the 40′s, like Detour, Sunset Blvd., Double Indemnity, and many more. I love photography and would love to have the world see my pictures, but am too shy to post many.

Third paragraphs are for serious writers. Who am I? Well, I’m the same guy I was at seventeen, just a bit more hygienic and world-aware, but I still like the same music, oh, and I swear a lot less these days. I have long hair because I can, but I don’t know how long that’ll last. I have a fondness for ‘thingies‘, but I would never declare that publicly. I’ve grown to be a curmudgeon at heart, but I try to offer solutions to the things I whine about.

Closing paragraphs RULE. I have very few living heroes, but I absolutely love when someone’s incredible at what they do (think Michael Jordan, Terry Bozzio, Edward Van Halen, Monica Bellucci, Truman Capote, Kate Winslet, Buster Keaton, Lebron James and the list goes on). My “people-I’ve-met” heroes include my wife’s OB-GYN, my former boss and that Dean at my college that told me to stick it out another year. Oh, I’m also funny as hell, but you need to read the entries…I like to question pretty much EVERYTHING.
